It was 47 when I woke up, 36 during the sleet storm in the mountains and now 73 here in phoenix. I have arrived safely. Seeing Georgia, Alabama, Mississipi, Tennessee, Arkansas, Oklahoma, Texas, New Mexico and now Arizona, in a week, all driving done during daylight, and staying at public campgrounds at night was a good idea. Didn't have any problems.

This has turned into my cars "Great Test Across America"
Max's : "Birds Across America"
And the tick population's "Max's Great Buffet Across America"
They should have all started blogs.

Scottsdale has palm trees planted in the medians all around town. Its so fake. I was really liking Arizona and warming up to the thought of Phoenix. Let's see how I feel about it later. After seeing the surrounding country, Albuquerque and Phoenix sound like appealing places to live.

I want to bury my head into a pillow right about now. You'll be hearing plenty from me over the next few days as I upload all the stuff I have so far and plan out the next parts of my trip.

  1. Glad that you arrived in Arizona safely. You must visit Sedona and the Grand Canyon. BTW, we have a massive water main break in 13 cities and towns around Boston. We have to boil our water, and of course my 5 gal container was empty. Tom filled it for me when I visited this afternoon. I'll keep it filled from now on.

  2. One of my friends used to live in Flagstaff. Apparently its really different from the rest of the area. Something like literally a mile higher so different biome. Also supposed to just generally be cool.
Glad to hear you made it so far okay. That's some serious distance in one week.
