I'm gonna jump off a monster sand dune for Easter :)

Hey, I'm Grits Diner in Kill Devil Hills (that's really the name of the town).

Last night was uneventful.  I drove around to the street ends that access the beach to see evidence of a party to crash, but all was quiet.  The one guy I know in town that might have come out ended up choosing to stay at home and hung out with my blog instead.  Then he calls me while I'm driving around by myself to talk about it...

I did some driving this morning on the west side of the main highway here (the Sound Side).  It was much nicer. Trees, shade, houses with more than an 1/8 of an acre, and a constant bird orchestra.  It reminded me a lot of the part of Oak Bluffs that my mom likes to stay in Martha's Vinyard.  A real nice change of pace from the ocean side area.

A guy I met yesterday on the beach just 2 hours after my last blog post, is worth mentioning.  He was practicing his extreme kite flying skills in preparation to move up to the large ones used for kite boarding.  He like me fly his kite and it was wild!  It was 3.3 sq. meters of sail and had three control cords connected through to a bar.  I got the hang of it on the 3rd try and it was super responsive and my only complaint was my neck being sore after keeping the kite up for 7 minutes.  I haven't looked straight up like that with out a break for that long since 9/11 LOL.  So if I decide to pursue it as a hobby, the post car accident neck brace might be a good thing to have as equipment.  He has a blog too.  I haven't had a chance to look at it yet, but I will post the link right [here] after I do.  Stay tuned and look backwards sometimes because I do update and add pictures to old posts when I can.

I should be doing trip planning but instead I'm messing around with videos LOL.

Enjoy!
