Almost ready....

So I'm waiting to get my hair cut. I took the subway to midtown this morning and have some last minute business to take care of down here.

I've been packing and organizing to death for the last week or so. I have 6 bins still plus 2 smaller boxes and countless other containers. Judgment day is tomorrow AM when I actually try to get all of this in the car and leave my self a place to lay down. We'll see, but I still think it is possible :)

I've attached a few recent pics below:
I found my bins at Home Depot for 7.00 each. So I saved a bundle but the grey color at HD is more my style.

Max in the snow with his pack on.

I also just got a bike leash attachment for my bike at thedogoutdoors.com. Cool site to check out if you like dogs. It should be meeting me in DC.

Speaking of snow...

Now that my apt is organized and clean, I know where everything is.
Here is a quick tour:

I've been cooking more as a cost saver and to get my feet a little more wet for the trip.
(Edit, my blackberry has my pictures all disorganized, so I'll get back to that photo.

And here is the haircut.

I got the instructions too. #2 around the bottom, #3 a little higher, and #4 on the top with some clean up a the scissors.

So I'm going to DC Friday. My cousins Bday party (he's also the 5th) is that night at a club in DC. I'm going to try to make it. My dads memorial service is Saturday. Then Sunday I'm going to hang out with a high school friend in MD. Then Monday I'm going to try to get my step mom to take a hike with me after we drop off my grandmother at the airport. Then Monday onward I'm going to check out the DC area (been to the mall way to many times) and stay with a college friend that moved down there.

I'm still debating the car alarm purchase. 500 buck installed at Best Buy. 2 way pager remote with auto start and the ability to have the car autostart based on internal temperature. That right there could buy me hours of out of the car time with Max hanging in the shade with his auto A/C kicking in when it hits the temperature points that I could set. Wow! But it is 500 bucks. Then again think of how much (in $'s) stuff I have in the car... Is this a no brainer?

Anyway, my hair has been done for 10 minutes now. I should go!

  1. I think that you should get the car alarm. Even if you're hiking, it might scare someone off.
